What Types of Panoramic Images Can I Obtain from This Model?
With the Sirona XG3, you can take standard panoramic images as well as left and right orthoradial, lateral dental imaging views to diagnose TMJ, and constant magnification. Some models also include the extraoral bitewing feature as mentioned below.
Can I Adjust the Sirona XG3 When Working with Pediatric Patients?
Yes. Sirona XG3 features a pediatric mode that decreases scan time and lowers radiation output specifically for pediatric patients.
Does This Model Come with a Bitewing Program?
Some Sirona XG3 models include the extraoral bitewing feature, providing an alternative to traditional intraoral bitewings for those patients that have a hard time tolerating intraoral sensors or films.
Can This Model be Upgraded to Cephalometric Imaging?
No, the Sirona XG3 is strictly an entry-level panoramic system and cannot be upgraded to cephalometric imaging. If you are thinking you may want to add a cephalometric arm to your panoramic X-ray system later on, you may want to take a look at the Sirona XG5, Sirona XG 3D Ready, or Sirona XG Plus panorex systems.
Can the Sirona XG3 be Upgraded to Cone Beam?
No, the Sirona XG3 cannot be upgraded to CBCT, or cone beam imaging. Consider the Sirona XG 3D Ready or Sirona XG Plus systems if you think you may want to add cone beam to your practice in the future.
How Can I Be Assured of High Image Quality?
All Sirona panorex X-ray machines contain unique orbital paths and focal layers along with a highly technological sensor and automated kV adaptor to provide concise and highly detailed images to ensure consistently high-quality X-rays.
Can I Integrate This System with Other Software?
Yes. The images that you capture with the Sirona XG3 panoramic system may be integrated into most dental practice management and/or imaging software via a TWAIN interface.
