2D SmartPan is a unique system for 2D imaging. It uses the same 3D sensor for 2D panoramic imaging, which eliminates the need to change sensors between images. It can calculate 10 different panoramic curves in 2mm shifts, and automatically adjust the sharpness to one layer. You and your clinical team can browse between the panoramic images and then select the best one for diagnosis.

Easy Operation and Positioning
The Planmeca ProMax 3D Classic enables effortless patient positioning with its open-face architecture. This provides an unrestricted view of your patient and does not leave them feeling claustrophobic during the imaging process. You can adjust to precise measurements using the positioning laser and joystick. A scout image allows you to verify correct positioning and can even be used for preliminary diagnosis. This unit allows for side-entry access for easy wheelchair accommodation.
Imaging Modes and Protocols
The Planmeca ProMax 3D Classic has optimized imaging modes for your practice’s different needs. A low dose mode limits the amount of radiation for pediatric patients in orthodontic studies. It has a Voxel size of 400 µm. The normal mode has a Voxel size of 200 µm. High definition mode works best for imaging small objects, like ear bones. It has a Voxel size of 150 µm. High resolution mode provides more detail at Voxel size 100 µm. There’s also an endodontic mode which offers the best resolution with the smallest Voxel size at 75 µm.
Ready-designed protocols make for easy imaging. These imaging protocols are designed for specific diagnostic tasks, areas, or target sizes. They have the appropriate volume size, resolution, and exposure values, and automatic selection and adjustment of the target position. There are also reduced volume sizes for pediatric patients.
