Hey I'm Kevin Marler. I'm an Install Technician for Renew Digital and here's a little something about me.
Who is Kevin?
I'm an Install Technician. I fly all around the country installing dental X-ray equipment, mostly extraoral dental X-ray and 3D cone beam. I have been in this business for 20 years and specialize in cone beam technology.
Now, who is the real, outside-the-dental-world Kevin?
I am a father of four children i've been married to my beautiful wife for almost 20 years now. I met her in college 25 years ago. We have a wonderful family, kids ages 18 to 10, three girls and a boy. I love to play golf, obsessed with it. I would say it's my true original love. And I also love to do landscaping. I like to work outside work with my hands, play with chainsaws, and work with wood, and a lot of landscaping!
How did you land at Renew Digital?
I landed at Renew Digital when I met Bryan Delano, one of the original co-founders of Renew, in Christmas of 2010. We met, we soon discovered that we should be working together with my knowledge of cone beam and i-CATs. And so we got together and we started selling and refurbishing X-ray machines out of Bryan's garage.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I kind of have a weird obsession with chainsaws, not in a weird way. I like to be kind of a lumberjack. I like to work with wood. I used to live on some property, so I got into chainsaws. It's kind of a weird hobby, but yes I have nine of them.
What is your favorite thing about working for Renew Digital?
It's a very small business atmosphere very family-oriented, and we love it.
Favorite guilty pleasure?
I think my guilty pleasure is going to be.. I'm going to have to say it's peach milkshakes from Chick-Fil-A, or a whole pack of Chips Ahoy cookies.
How would your co-workers describe you?
I would hope good things. I think they'd say I've got a good personality and I have a resolve to get things done in a timely manner. And I'm by far the quickest install tech.
Favorite vacation spot?
Blue mountain beach, baby! 30A on the panhandle. White sugary sand beaches. Don't go.. we got to keep it a secret!
What was your childhood dream?
My childhood dream was to be just like Dale Murphy on the Braves. I wanted to be a baseball player, wear number three and be like just like Dale Murphy. He was my idol growing up.
