Digital dental X-ray machines such as the Sirona X-ray have long been the choice of dental professionals making the move to digital imaging from film for the first time, or upgrading from 2D digital imaging to 3D cone beam systems. Sirona x-ray machines are known for their high image quality, low radiation dose, and expertly engineered hardware that lasts.
If upgrading from film, the choices are easier when considering the [benefits of digital X-ray equipment](https://www.renewdigital.com/blog/features-consider-selecting-dental-xray-machine/) in a dental setting. You receive the results of the patient’s scan immediately, the images provide greater detail, and digital equipment exposes patients to less radiation than manual equipment. [Joining the digital revolution](https://www.renewdigital.com/blog/practice-fully-adopted-digital-dental-xray-revolution/) also means that you’re doing your part to preserve the environment by not throwing away harmful chemicals used to develop film once you no longer need them.
If upgrading from a 2D digital X-ray to a cone beam system, the choice can be more difficult as more and more manufacturers have recently emerged offering [numerous CBCT models](https://www.renewdigital.com/cone-beam-3d/) with various field of view options and other features. Below we describe some factors to consider when choosing X-ray equipment and why we believe that Sirona X-ray is an excellent option for either 2D or 3D technology.
## Consider the Manufacturer’s History
It is a common tactic of newer dental equipment manufacturers to undercut the prices of established manufacturers and offer a longer warranty. The problem is that the companies are not established enough yet to provide ongoing service and support or even replacement parts for your X-ray equipment.
Sirona has existed as a company since 1997. In 2016, it merged with Dentsply to provide an even higher quality of equipment and service to dentists. When you purchase a Sirona X-ray machine, you benefit from the 100+ years of combined experience of these two leaders in the dental equipment industry. Renew Digital also has nearly a decade of experience providing top-notch certified pre-owned dental equipment, including hundreds of used Sirona X-rays, to dental professionals across the country.
## Sirona X-Ray Equipment Allows You to Meet Your Treatment Goals
The way you intend to use your new equipment to diagnose and treat the oral health concerns of your patients is likely a top concern when it comes to investing in X-ray machines. For example, are you a general dentist who uses X-ray equipment primarily to detect tooth decay? Perhaps you are an oral surgeon who works with patients receiving dental implants. In either case, Sirona offers a full range of X-ray equipment that can help make your job easier and help you take better care of your patients. We encourage you to view the [wide range of certified pre-owned Sirona X-ray options](https://www.renewdigital.com/brands/Sirona.html) available from Renew Digital and consider a brand like Sirona, known for its high standards in manufacturing quality.
## Sirona X-ray Is Easy to Use and Integrate
Sirona X-ray equipment is well-known for its ease of use and powerful integration. From the ergonomic X-ray design to the simple, intuitive image programming interface, Sirona X-ray systems are easy to learn and use.
The 2D images captured by Sirona X-ray systems can be easily integrated into almost any practice management or imaging software using a simple TWAIN interface. 3D images easily integrate with a variety of Sirona systems, such as CEREC, as part of the seamless practice workflow.
Remember that Renew Digital offers a comprehensive warranty including unlimited support if you have any questions when using your X-ray equipment or software.
Please don’t hesitate to [contact Renew Digital](https://www.renewdigital.com/contact-us/) if we can answer additional questions about Sirona X-ray products.
