Renew Digital Staff Spotlight: Brad McBurney
Hi, I'm Brad McBurney, Equipment Field Tech Manager with Renew Digital. I'm excited to share a little bit about myself today.
Who is Brad?
We acquire extraoral dental machines for inventory. And I have a team about of about eight of us that we are heading that process of.
Now, who is the real, outside-the-dental-world Brad?
Well I have a wonderful wife of about three years now. We live in the North Dallas Texas area. I enjoy doing DIY projects at our house. Eventually, I'd like to get back on the motorcycle, but as of now I'm kind of raking leaves.
How did you land at Renew Digital?
I landed at Renew Digital by a well-known quote-unquote recruiter. Andrew Wiley was a customer of mine at a family-owned hardware and Hay and Feed store in California. And I saw that he traveled a lot, and I was super intrigued by that. And seven years later, here I am.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
You know, people are surprised (which is kind of surprising to me) to hear that I'm a twin. My brother and I are six minutes apart and we are vastly different, but oddly similar.
What is your favorite thing about working for Renew Digital?
To start with Renew Digital the travel was a huge opportunity to see the United States. I got to see much of the Northeast. When I moved to Georgia and onwards back to California, the Pacific Northwest. I got a couple times in in Hawaii. So, the travel is a huge aspect to it. The culture is amazing. I have an awesome team of guys that just really make me happy to show up every day.
Favorite guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure would probably have to be just one massive meal. It sounds weird but I just like to get my day done and have a really, much too big for myself, kind of meal. I'm not a big sweets guy but I'm a foodie.
How would your co-workers describe you?
Well recently, I don't know how to take this, but recently I've been told that I have the demeanor of Pauly Shore. Still trying to figure out how I feel about that one..
Favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot would have to be somewhere in the mountains. I love the mountains being a California boy. And now, living in Texas, we don't have many of those. Mountains and a lake and I'm happy!
What was your childhood dream?
My dad was a cop and I think I wanted to follow those footsteps. Later in life I realized wasn't quite the fit for me, that would probably have to be it.
