Renew Digital Staff Spotlight: 10 Questions with Frank Tagye

Frank Tagye is a Regional Sales Director here with Renew Digital. Today, we sit down with Frank to learn about his experience and why he loves working with us.

Who is Frank?

My background in dentistry is mostly on the digital imaging side. I did sell software for a minute when I first started about 15 years ago, I sold practice management software and imaging software. Also sold all the capital equipment you can think of, including lasers, and I did help a company launch a CAD/CAM product several years ago.

Now, who is the real, outside-the-dental-world Frank?

If I'm not answering phones, then I'm spending time with my two young kids. They're two and five so they keep me busy. Besides that, maybe my wife and I will do a little date night nice dinner out in Philly and outside of that we're watching the Eagles. So Go Birds!

How did you land at Renew Digital?

I used to work with the two founders of Renew Digital, Lyle and Bryan, and we all sold software and X-ray equipment together and they left that company and a few years later started Renew Digital. So a few years after that, as they were growing it out, they had reached out to me they needed to get a salesperson on board so I joined in 2015 and it's been great.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

So, aside from the birth of my kids and my wedding day, my single greatest accomplishment was probably back in second grade. I enrolled in a "Blades of Steel" video game tournament at my local McDonald's, and I came in second place and won a hell of a trophy.

What is your favorite thing about working for Renew Digital?

My favorite thing about Renew Digital (this might sound corny) but it really is the team of people we work with. It's great when I'm able to take care of a customer and provide value. They're saving money, they're getting a great machine, they're excited about this new purchase and when I hand that over to my team to take care of the installation and the training, they're just a top notch group of people. And we get raving reviews about that experience. So, it is it is great to be a salesperson to be able to have that kind of support and confidence in all aspects of the company I work for.

A quote you live by?

So, I'll hit you with a sales quote Zig Ziglar, one of the quotes that stood out to me, was "it's not your aptitude it's your attitude that's going to determine your altitude." That's a good one.

Dogs or Cats?

I always wanted a snake and I never got one, but if I had to choose between these two, I'd probably go dog.

If you weren’t in sales at Renew, what would you be doing?

As a kid, I was a huge fan of dinosaurs. And a little bit more so than the average kid because everyone likes dinosaurs as a kid, but I mean I was like a walking encyclopedia of dinosaur knowledge. So when I was thinking of what I was going to be as an adult it was absolutely 100% no question I was going to be an archaeologist digging up dinosaur bones.
